Yes! All Wild Chick Organics products will always be Certified-Organic because it helps reassure customers that our products are non-GMO and grown without  pesticides, herbicides or fungicides.  We're committed to providing the highest quality, plant-based products and we're excited to add more products soon.

Absolutely! All of our product ingredients are made from plants (not artificial ingredients) and vegan.

Yes, in the skincare world there's a distinction between "organic" versus "Certified-Organic." For example, skincare ingredients could be listed as "organic" without a verification system to ensure the claim of "organic" is actually true. However, "Certified-Organic" classification by the USDA requires a robust 3rd party verification process, which helps customers ensure ingredients are non-GMO and grown without pesticides, herbicides or fungicides. All Wild Chick products are USDA "Certified-Organic" by the Oregon Tilth.

Yes, we donate 10% net profits to nature preservation.

Yes, we selected food-grade, lead-free glass containers for our products. Many of our containers are cute and can be repurposed. (Have you seen our small travel sized serum bottle? The little travel bottle works great if you need a quick complexion refresher)

Pro: Glass containers are inert; they don't readily release potentially problematic chemicals into products inside.
Con: Glass is heavy for shipping and is at risk for breaking. Rest assured, we've got serious packing skills.

Yes, thank goodness. Wild Chick selects plant-based ingredients and they aren't formulated with a bunch of potentially toxic, artificial preservatives. We like to use the analogy of an apple sitting on your kitchen counter. Would you expect that apple to last forever? Gross. It's sort of similar with our 100% plant-based products. We're confident that you'll love our products so much that you'll actually use them; they wont be sitting around very long. Typically, we have found our products will last for 6 months after opening.

Product texture will vary due to temperature fluctuations that occur during shipping and don't damage products. If products are melted, we recommend placing them in the refrigerator for a few hours until they become solid again. If frozen, place products at room temp for a few hours.

Our products contain 100% plant-based ingredients. The texture of our products may vary due to the properties of our natural ingredients. For instance, we choose to formulate our Face Cream and Salve with Grade A, "unrefined" shea butter instead of "refined" shea butter. Unrefined shea butter is less processed and known to contain more beneficial vitamins and fatty acids. Our less chemically processed, unrefined shea butter may result in some crystallization which effects product texture but does not effect the nutritive product quality. The  crystals melt upon skin contact when gently applied and rubbed into the skin. 

 Other conventional face creams may have an artificially smooth texture because a lower grade, (Grade B or C) or "refined" shea butter was used. Unfortunately, the shea butter refining process may include bleaching or using harsh chemicals to ensure smoother texture. Also, "refined" shea butter may not contain as many vitamins and fatty acids as "unrefined" shea butter. In addition, many artificial chemicals could be added in order to achieve a consistent, smooth texture.   

Wild Chick Organics believes in a skincare paradigm shift. WCO prioritizes using 100% plant-based, certified-organic products loaded with good stuff, not artificial chemicals. Wild Chick Organics does not formulate with any artificial ingredients, including artificial fillers or artificial emulsifiers. Our products are made in small batches using plant-based ingredients selected for their beneficial properties.

Yes, we believe it's important to disclose all ingredients. All our ingredients (not just a few) are made from plants. We list each ingredient for customer review. Some companies don't disclose all ingredients and instead use the generic term, "fragrance" for "proprietary" blends. Unfortunately, it's possible for some undisclosed "fragrance"  chemicals to contain hormone disruptors or cause allergic reactions. All our essential oils are listed on the box. Our essential oils are Certified-Organic and processed using stem-distillation or cold pressed methods (we don't use solvents like Hexane). Customers can't know what is in a particular "fragrance" until all fragrance ingredients are disclosed on the ingredient label. 

Carnauba wax is a vegetable wax obtained from the leaves of a palm tree, Copernica cerifera. It is commonly used in body care, cosmetic and food industries. The wax is sustainably harvested by pruning branches from the same trees year after year. The trees are allowed to continue with their natural growth cycles. Copernica cerifera is not threatened and does not have the same environmental problems as Elaeis guineensis, a  different palm tree that palm oil is sourced from.

Yes, our certified-organic Face Cream is formulated with certified-organic alcohol (ethanol), derived from a plant. Ethanol is commonly used as a natural preservative, emulsifier and for extracting beneficial properties of plants. When ethanol is combined with moisturizing ingredients, it's not typically drying to the skin. Wild Chick Organics does not use isopropyl alcohol.
