Questions

Wild Chick Organics is a woman-owned small business founded with deep respect for nature—and a passion for doing things the right way.

Our commitment to sustainability isn’t just a promise; it’s easy to verify. Every product is made with 100% plant-based ingredients and is Certified Organic.

Our name says it all: Wild Chick Organics reflects how wildly committed we are to certified-organic plants, responsible sourcing, and sustainable business practices. We also put our values into action by donating 10% of net profits to nature preservation.

WCO is about moving beyond outdated stereotypes and celebrating people as they are. We encourage everyone to embrace their individuality, honor their richly diverse beauty, and feel confident in their inner and outer glow.

Yes! All Wild Chick Organics products will always be Certified-Organic because it helps reassure customers that our products are non-GMO and grown without  pesticides, herbicides or fungicides.  We're committed to providing the highest quality, plant-based products and we're excited to add more products soon.

Absolutely! All of our product ingredients are made from plants (not artificial ingredients) and vegan.

No, only on our in-laws. Seriously, we don't do animal testing.

Yes, regarding skincare, there’s an important difference between “organic” vs USDA Certified-Organic.

The word “organic” can be used loosely in marketing, and ingredients may be described as organic without a consistent, independent verification system to prove the claim.

USDA Certified Organic, on the other hand, requires a rigorous third‑party certification process. That certification helps ensure ingredients are non‑GMO and grown without prohibited artificial pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides. And ingredients have documented oversight and compliance.

All Wild Chick Organics products are USDA Certified Organic, certified by Oregon Tilth.

We offer a 100% guarantee on our products within 14 days of receiving the order.

*Note: products have normal changes in texture, scent or color due to natural variations in plant-based ingredients. Please email us before returning items; shipping and handling charges are not refundable. We offer small travel sizes, if you want to initially try our products.

Yes, we selected food-grade glass containers for our products. Many of our containers can be repurposed. (Have you seen our small travel sized serum bottle? The little travel bottle works great if you need a quick complexion refresher)

Pro: Glass containers are inert; they don't readily release potentially problematic chemicals into products inside.
Con: Glass is heavy for shipping and is at risk for breaking. Rest assured, we've got great, (earth-friendly) packing skills.

Yes—thank goodness.

Wild Chick products are made with 100% plant-based ingredients and we don’t load them up with potentially toxic, artificial preservatives. Think of it like an apple on your kitchen counter: you wouldn’t expect it to last forever (and you definitely wouldn’t want it to). Our products are similar—fresh, plant-based, and meant to be used.

In most cases, our products last about 6 months after opening.

Friendly reminder: use clean hands when applying to help keep your product fresh and happy.

Shipping temperatures can change during transit.

Good news: if your products arrived melted or frozen, they’re still acceptable to use. Temperature fluctuations during transit can sometimes change product texture, but they typically don't reduce effectiveness.

Here’s what we suggest:

  • If melted: pop it in the refrigerator for a few hours until it firms back up.
  • If frozen: let it sit at room temperature for a few hours to return to normal.

Please note: All products are formulated without artificial ingredients, so natural butters and oils can look or feel a little different depending on temperature. Some variation in texture is completely normal.

If anything looks off, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help.

A little “grainy” texture can happen sometimes—and it’s actually a sign you’re getting the real, good stuff.

Our Face Cream is made with 100% plant-based ingredients, including high-quality, Grade A, unrefined shea butter. Because unrefined shea butter is less processed, it may retain more of its naturally beneficial vitamins and fatty acids. The tradeoff? Those tiny shea butter molecules can occasionally crystallize (especially with temperature changes during storage or shipping), which can create a slightly grainy feel.

Here’s the key:

  • Those tiny crystals do not affect product quality or performance.
  • They typically melt on contact as you gently apply and rub the cream into your skin.

Many conventional creams get a smooth texture by using synthetics, fillers, and artificial emulsifiers—and some products may even contain concerning ingredients (like PFAS, aka “forever chemicals”). That’s not our approach.

Wild Chick Organics is here for a skincare paradigm shift: we prioritize certified-organic, plant-powered ingredients over artificial shortcuts. We formulate without artificial ingredients (including PFAS), artificial fillers, or artificial emulsifiers, and we make our products in small batches, so natural variation can happen.

And yes—be prepared to get compliments on your skin.

Yes—every fragrance ingredient is listed on the box.

We’re big believers in “no mystery scents.” All of our ingredients are plant-based, and we fully disclose each one on the ingredient label so you can see exactly what you’re putting on your skin.

Some other companies use the generic word “fragrance” to protect “proprietary” blends. The problem is that "fragrance" term can legally hide a long list of undisclosed chemicals—including potential irritants or allergens, and in some cases substances of concern (some undisclosed fragrance components may even include PFAS-related chemicals or hormone disruptors).

That’s not how we do things:

  • No undisclosed fragrance blends
  • All ingredients listed clearly on the box
  • Any essential oils we use are Certified-Organic and extracted via steam distillation or cold-pressing—no solvents like hexane

Bottom line: if it adds scent, it’s on the label—so there are no surprises.

Carnauba wax is a vegetable wax obtained from the leaves of a palm tree, Copernica cerifera. It is commonly used in body care, cosmetic and food industries. The wax is sustainably harvested by pruning branches from the same trees year after year. The trees are allowed to continue with their natural growth cycles. Copernica cerifera is not threatened and does not have the same environmental problems as Elaeis guineensis, a  different palm tree that palm oil is sourced from.

Yes, our certified-organic Face Cream is formulated with certified-organic alcohol (ethanol), which is plant-derived. In skincare, alcohol can be used as a gentle way to extract beneficial plant properties.

Good news-when ethanol is paired with moisturizing ingredients, it’s not typically drying.

And to be crystal clear: Wild Chick Organics does not use isopropyl alcohol.
